- Half a metre when passing users in separated and protected cycling lanes and on sidewalks.
Additionally, these rules now permit drivers to cross solid yellow lines when safe to do so, to ensure sufficient space is given when passing. This adjustment is significant as it prioritizes safety over strict lane adherence, reflecting the importance of flexibility in promoting road safety.
