Victoria GLP Novice - Automatic Transmission Course

Our most popular program! Classroom defensive driving that integrates with the on-road private driving lessons to ensure your new driver learns to be a safe, proactive driver! Prices INCLUDE any applicable tax!

A payment plan option is available when using Visa, MasterCard or post-dated cheques which must be presented on course start date. Please note that the program must not be completed before final payment is made. Example: four payments of $310.00

The course includes:
- 18.5 hours of Classroom Theory: six flexible sessions held evenings or weekends.
- Driving Simulation that integrates with the classroom sessions
- CPS system (Google it! Classroom Performance System)
- DriveWise Workbook for use in classroom as well as driving lessons.
- *We have added an extra 90 minutes in the CAR, so less time in the classroom and more time in the car for DriveWise Students! 18 x 45 (13.5 hours) minute private driving lessons including free pick up and drop off in most areas. (We schedule lessons as 9 x 90 minute lessons)
- Free Co-Driver Night for parents or co-drivers.
- Emergency Maneuvers taught in class, on simulators and in car!
- Highway/freeway and downtown experience.
- Vehicle Handling Skills – uphill, downhill, parallel parking; backing into parking stalls; 3 point turns; risk perception and running commentary and much more!
- Mock road test scored just like ICBC – this gives our students an idea of what the real road test will be like!
- All road test preparation skills taught with the BEST instructors in the industry

Our class room schedules are as follows:
- Saturdays, Spring Break, Christmas & Summer Days run 3 days from 9:30 am - 4:10pm
- Evening classes run from 6:15pm - 9:20 pm.

This DriveWise course is ICBC approved; if you meet ICBC requirements you may receive 2 credits towards high school graduation and could save 6 months in the “N” stage of the Graduated Licensing Program.

*ICBC’S graduated licensing requirements: Students must complete and pass all components of the course in the learner’s stage and within 12 months of beginning the program to qualify.

Road Test Package:
- Use of a DriveWise training car and road test spot with ICBC– pick up and drop off. 45 minute warm-up road test lesson immediately before road test. ICBC examiner will conduct road test in the DriveWise vehicle.
- PLEASE NOTE: ICBC has its own charges for the Road Test ($35) and Driver’s License ($75) which you need to pay on your road test day.
